Last month when I was in LA for the #TheBFGEvent, I was able to go to Disneytoon Studios and learn about the new Disney XD show Future-Worm! and meet the creator Ryan Quincy (South Park). The show will fit right into the Disney XD family with its characters, humor and style. I don’t watch a lot of TV, but my kids keep me up to date on what is cool and fun and I think they will like this show.
“Future-Worm!” is an animated series about an optimistic 12-year-old who invents a time machine lunch box through which he meets and befriends a fearless worm from the future (one with titanium-enforced abs). Created and executive-produced by Emmy Award-winning director Ryan Quincy (“South Park”), the comedy follows young Danny Douglas and Future Worm (also known as Fyootch) as they embark on adventures through space and time. The characters were introduced last year in a popular “Future-Worm!” short-form series on Disney XD and Disney XD’s YouTube Channel.
Each unique episode includes an 11-minute main story and supporting subplot, a 3-minute runner sketch and a 7-minute sitcom style story.

Emmy Award-winning director and producer Ryan Quincy is creator and executive producer of Disney XD’s animated comedy adventure series “Future-Worm!”
Quincy is best known for his work on the long-running animated series “South Park,” for which he won two Emmy Awards in 2008 and 2009 and was nominated in 2010 and 2011, all for Outstanding Animated Program. He also created IFC’s animated series “Out There,” for which he also voiced the lead role of Chad.
The first episode premieres on Disney XD on August 1, 2016! The episodes consists of three shows. On August 1 you will be able to see
“Long Live Captain Cakerz!” – Danny’s favorite cereal, Captain Cakerz, is out of stock, so he travels back to find out what happened to them.
“Healin’ Touch With Dr. D” – After Danny gets a brain freeze, Future Worm puts him on a future medical TV show where the doctor is a terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex.
“Terrible Tuber Trouble” – Danny’s attempt to make his parents dinner while also playing with his new chemistry set inadvertently leads to the creation of a potato monster.
