I am so excited to share that I am going to be able to attend the PBS Annual Meeting in Austin, TX in May. This is going to be such a fun experience! I have never been to Austin before – so I am looking forward to that, but I am really excited about the conference and what will take place there. Here is a little bit of information:
The PBS Annual Meeting is the premier gathering of public television professionals, bringing together station teams, independent producers, community partners and national organizations to connect, collaborate and plan our future together. In Austin we will build on the momentum of the PBS Regional Meetings and showcase local and national content and innovative ways our industry is transforming our service to meet the needs of the communities we serve. And it is Austin, home of Austin City Limits, so you know there will be some serious music!
There are many reasons that I am excited to be there, but the biggest reason is simply because we love PBS Kids! It has been a part of our home since we have had kids (over 10 years ago), and I love the fun, educational and entertaining shows, apps, and games that not only entertain but educate. You will recognize many of the titles, even if you don’t have kids of your own.
The line up of PBS Kids shows are:
- Angelina Ballerina

I personally haven’t seen every show listed – but it is safe to say that I have seen 80% of them with my kids and I love them. It is honestly the kind of channel I can turn on for my kids and let them watch while I am doing something and not have to worry about inappropriate, rude, or “empty” shows coming on. If you haven’t checked out PBS Kids lately – do it now! My kids love going online to PBSKids.org and playing the games, watching shows, and printing out fun activities. You can set your local TV station, and see showtimes.
There is also a great resource for adults (parents) at pbs.org/parents. It is packed with recipes, crafts, parenting tips, fitness and more. I love going there and finding new and fun things to do with my kids.
Don’t forget you can also download PBS Kids Apps for Android and keep your kids entertained anytime. From the PBS KIDS Video, and a PBS Parents Play & Learn to the SUPER WHY!, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Wild Kratts World Adventure, and Caillou you will find fun and educational games that your kids will want to play over and over. I am so excited to have been chosen as a VIP Blogger for PBS Kids! It will allow me to share PBS KIDS announcements, programming, and products as well as many other fun and exciting things along the way. Being an Ambassador for PBS Kids is going to be fun for all of us!
