We received a copy for review. All opinions are my own.
If there is one thing my kid’s love, it is LEGO’s. Building with them is something we all love to do as a family. That is just one reason that we enjoyed The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Park! It is so good. Packed with action and adventure, a fun storyline and the new characters make it just as good as the first one. This is another reason we decided to have even more fun and make The LEGO Movie 2 cupcakes!
To celebrate the in-home release, we made LEGO MOVIE 2 cupcakes. These were fun to make. We used silicone molds and melted chocolate to make the stars, robots and LEGO pieces.
I got a The LEGO Movie 2 – Unikitty’s Sweetest Friends LEGO set from Amazon and had the kids build it to use as the toppers. We already had the LEGO Batman, LEGO Dinosaur, and other LEGO toys. We used Red Velvet cupcake mix and cream cheese frosting. I also had a bag of the colored chocolate covered balls so I used those since I love the pops of color it gives.
I took some of the cupcake batter and made cookies with it and then used a cookie cutter to cut the shapes of hearts and stars. I frosted one side and then put another piece over the top to make sandwich cookies.
You can grab most/all of the supplies to make these The LEGO Movie 2 cupcakes at the store along with your copy of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Park and have a fun family night! The Blu-ray/DVD comes out May 7.
You can do so many different things with these The LEGO Movie 2 cupcakes to make them your own! Really get creative. I would love to see what you do. Be sure to tag us at @CoralieSeright on Instagram and Twitter or @LovebugsPostcards on Facebook!
