We were able to screen the movie, in order to make this Hotel Transylvania Transformania Parents Guide, thanks to Prime Video. All opinions are my own.

The movie picks up close to where the last one left off. They are all back at the Hotel and Drac wants to retire and leave the hotel to Mavis and Johnny. After having second thoughts, he lies to Johnny and from there everything goes downhill. The ‘Monsterification Ray’ turns some of the monsters into humans, and humans into monsters. It is really funny to see what the monsters look like as humans!

We have been waiting for a long time for Hotel Transylvania Transformania. HT4 features most of the same cast as the other movies. The storyline is good and moves along. There is a lot of humor and it is geared towards younger viewers. Overall the movie is good. The animation is on par with the rest of the movies and it has the same humor. The theme and the storyline of the movie is great for everyone. It teaches us to accept each other and trust each other.

Hotel Transylvania Transformania Parents Guide

Hotel Transylvania Transformania is rated PG for some rude humor and cartoon nudity.

Hotel Transylvania Transformania runs for 1 hour and 38 minutes.

There are no Hotel Transylvania Transformania end credit scenes.

Sex & Nudity –  It shows Griffin’s (animated) bum several times and his backside.

Violence & Gore – There are a couple of fight scenes with monsters. Characters fall out of windows, a plane almost crashes, piranha attacks etc.

Profanity – No swears. A couple of phrases like stupid or shut up.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking – None (or nothing prevalent)

Frightening & Intense Scenes –  Some of the transformations could be a little intense for VERY young viewers. Transformed Johnny attacks bystanders. He also fights with the other main characters.

About Hotel Transylvania Transformania

Drac and the Pack are back like you’ve never seen them before in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Reunite with your favorite monsters for an all-new adventure that presents Drac (Brian Hull) with his most terrifying task yet. When Van Helsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) mysterious invention, the ‘Monsterification Ray,’ goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny (Andy Samberg) becomes a monster! In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late and before they drive each other crazy. With help from Mavis (Selena Gomez) and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent. The film also features the voices of Kathryn Hahn (Ericka), Steve Buscemi (Wayne), Molly Shannon (Wanda), David Spade (Griffin the Invisible Man), Keegan-Michael Key (Murray), Fran Drescher (Eunice), Brad Abrell (Frank), and Asher Blinkoff (Dennis).
