My family and I were able to go and see the new Disney FRANKENWEENIE movie ! This is an AWESOME movie and I totally recommend everyone taking their cute families to see it. Even if you don’t have kids there is a lot of adult humor in it that will keep you entertained. Need something to do this weekend? Go watch FRANKENWEENIE!
We were able to watch it in 3-D and I admit, half the time most movies don’t make it fun anymore with the things popping out at you, but this one had all of that! The movie starts off entertaining and keeps your attention. There were no lulls or boring parts that you find in cartoons once in a while.
So on to the review:
It starts out with Victor and his dog Sparky showing you how they are the best of friends. The movie quickly progresses to where the demise of the dog comes about. (NOTE: they were very good to NOT show anything gory or graphic here, you get the idea without really seeing anything except Victor). After struggling with not having his dog, her goes back to school and his science teacher shows them an experiment This gives Victor a grand idea and so he endeavors to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life.
He uses many household items to make the experiment and its really funny how he acquires some of them. After working long and hard he finally has it ready. Following the lines of the original Frankenstein, a bolt of lightening strikes his “creation” and with a little work, his dog comes back to life.
I love the next twists and turns that come and how he deals with the kids in his school finding out, how they react and what he does. It is great movie about just being who you are and not being afraid to do what you believe in.
My (almost) 3 year old boy LOVED it! He wasn’t really scared of anything, but my 5 and 7 year old girls said the monsters were “scary” then we talked about them on the way home and they were laughing, so I don’t think it was all that scary!
