I love movies. So when I get to go to a new movie that truly entertains me, I want to share it with you even more. That is how I feel about A Haunting in Venice. I will straight from the get-go, that it does vary greatly from the book. With that being said, I am not sad about that in the least. I think that the way they adapted this to a movie is perfect and I enjoyed every minute of it. It brings mystery, jump scares, intrigue, and humor together for a great flick that you won’t get bored with. And to top it all off – it’s family-friendly!
Overall I give it a solid 8/10. The movie in and of itself is very good and I am looking forward to seeing it again.

“A Haunting in Venice” is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.
Reuniting many of the filmmakers behind 2017’s “Murder on the Orient Express” and 2022’s “Death on the Nile,” the film is directed by Kenneth Branagh with a screenplay by Oscar® nominee Michael Green based upon Agatha Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party.” The producers are Kenneth Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg, with Louise Killin, James Prichard, and Mark Gordon serving as executive producers.
