One of the BEST movies this year is The Legend of Tarzan. We watched it in theaters and fell in love with everything about it. From the story line (mixed traditional and non-traditional) to the cinematography to the acting (props to Alexander Skarsgård – yum yum) and the digital effects you will not blink. We just got the movie to review, and so we watched it with my kids because I wanted to refresh my memory and realized that I was completely accurate in my first estimation of the movie. It is AMAZING! Samuel L Jackson adds a lot of humor to the movie and brings an added layer of greatness to the film. He is very talented and fits in nicely. Jane (played by Margot Robbie) is an essential character to any Tarzan movie, and Margot fills the shoes perfectly. I love the chemistry that her and Alexander have on screen because it completely makes the movie! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE!

1. It is a unique story line to an old story and it is very entertaining and enthralling for the entire film. You don’t feel a lull or a sense of “hurry it up already”.
2. The cast is all-star. Alexander Skarsgård does a spectacular job and reels you in from the very beginning. Combined with Samuel L. Jackson and Margot Robbie you will love the on screen chemistry.
3. The digital effects and the cinematography are spectacular. Just watch and see for yourself.
4. The way “Tarzan” saves Jane just makes you want to jump up and do a fist pump. It is SOOO GOOD!
5. I love the twists and turns to the plot that keep you guessing what is going to happen and they way it is all resolved leaves you ready to watch the second one (they have to make a second one!).

Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures comes the action adventure “The Legend of Tarzan,” starring Alexander Skarsgård (“Diary of a Teenage Girl,” HBO’s “True Blood”) as the legendary character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

The ensemble cast also stars Oscar® nominee Samuel L. Jackson (“Pulp Fiction,” the “Captain America” films), Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”), Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond,” “Gladiator”), with Oscar winner Jim Broadbent (“Iris”), and two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained”).

David Yates (the final four “Harry Potter” films, upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”) directed “The Legend of Tarzan” from a screenplay by Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer, which is based on the Tarzan stories created by Burroughs. Legendary producer Jerry Weintraub produced the film, together with David Barron, Alan Riche and Tony Ludwig. Susan Ekins, Nikolas Korda, Keith Goldberg, David Yates, Mike Richardson and Bruce Berman served as executive producers.

The Legend of Tarzan is such a spectacular movie. From beginning to end you will be on the edge of your seat. Make sure your TV screen is clean so you can have an uninterrupted view of the handsome Alexander Skarsgård who plays Tarzan. The action and adventure and the new story line weaved in with traditional bits and pieces is truly the best retelling I have ever seen. From now on, when someone says “let’s watch Tarzan”, there will be no doubt that this is the movie they are referring to.
